Payment & Terms
Pacific Plantations have never missed a payment in our
25-year history. We are always forward sold with long-term overseas
customers for the season ahead, and we are not in the "spot price" business.
Our customers are large international companies that provide long ongoing
support to Pacific Plantations and our suppliers. Volume based incentives
will be available for 2004.
Lower Minimum KR Acceptance
Pacific Plantations will accept deliveries down to 18% KR. This
allows you to recover a large amount of your crop that would
otherwise have been dumped or destroyed. Whilst these lower
KR consignments still need to be separated from normal deliveries,
this can result in achieving a return for up to 20% of your
crop. This will dramatically improve farming cost efficiencies
and supplier profitability.
KR Results
Pacific has an “Open Lab” policy with a dedicated
grower room alongside our lab. Growers are encouraged to see
their KR testing during the season and by arrangement can
view their own NIS being tested – especially retests
if required. We have a fully accredited quality staff with
our Quality Manager having over 15 year’s experience
in Macadamia NIS testing.
China Production
Our operation in China is jointly owned with a well-established
Chinese company with whom we have been doing business for over
15 years. Pacific Plantations' staff manage all aspects of production and
quality control. The microbiological results achieved for China
processed macadamias are superior to the results achieved from
processing plants in Australia. Many of our major overseas customers
have been to the China plant and are now specifying China processing,
which they agree is superior. It should also be noted that Pacific
Plantations heavily promotes Australian origin macadamias in
all markets internationally.
Grower Advantages
Pacific has been growing & processing macadamias for 25
years. We have a great deal of confidence in the industry, and
we are continually increasing our farm ownership. Pacific manages
its own farms as well as farms on behalf of clients. Pacific
has a vested interest in a secure future for the Australian
Macadamia industry and it is vital that growing and processing
becomes increasingly cost effective. Remember that we have low
cost countries like South Africa breathing down our necks. Competition from low cost origins is a growing concern.
Farm Management Services
Pacific Plantations can offer a full farm management service or
partial contracting. Let us show you how we can reduce your production
costs dramatically. We can provide high-speed low cost harvesting
alternatives, dehusking, double sorting and transport services which
can significantly benefit our suppliers.
High Speed Intake Facilities
We now have high-speed receival depots at Eureka & Brooklet
in NSW. Pacific can
provide small or large trucks for pick up at your farm at
competitive prices.
Crop Information Services
Pacific Plantations can provide full historical quality analysis
reports for each delivery. Industry comparison & advice
on your crop are available at no charge. Pacific Plantations
can also provide full-summarised cash flow and financial reports
if required.
